Xi tells Marcos steadiness on South China Sea issues important to excellent bilateral ties

BEIJING, Nov 17 — Chinese President Xi Jinping instructed Philippines counterpart Ferdinand Marcos Jr at a meeting nowadays that the energy of bilateral ties hinged on steady relations at sea, Chinese state broadcaster CCTV noted.Xi was referring to disputes about regions of the South China Sea that have plagued relations amongst Beijing and Manila.CCTV explained Xi also told Marcos on the sidelines of an Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (Apec) summit in Bangkok that the two countries need to have to stick to amicable negotiations to resolve discrepancies more than South China Sea problems. — Reuters
