Liverpool have four players letting down Jurgen Klopp as Champions League panic swirls | Football | Sport

Fabinho, like Henderson, has also been left out of the starting lineup at times by Klopp due to a dip in form. The Brazilian has anchored the midfield and protected the back four during the past few years but it does not appear that the change in formations have suited the 29-year-old.

In Liverpool’s peak, Fabinho played alongside Henderson and Thiago in a compact midfield that was full of energy, but the Brazil international has often played in a two-man midfield with the Spaniard and has been asked to play a different role and cover for the playmaker. With Luis Diaz and Diogo Jota’s return after the World Cup, Liverpool could revert to 4-3-3 to get the best out of Fabinho.
