WINKELMANN, Virginia Rose – Obituary – Sault Ste. Marie

It is with unhappiness that we announce the loss of life our mom and grandmother, Virginia Rose Winkelmann.

Passed peacefully at Hospice Wellington on Oct 23, 2022. Predeceased by her husband, Linwood Edward Winkelmann and her son, Lynn Walker Winkelmann. Survived by her daughter, Nancy Ellun and granddaughters, Tamara Rose and Tanya Ellun.

Born Might 21, 1929, in Maud, Oklahoma, she married in 1947 and moved to Sault Ste Marie, Ontario in 1960 with her partner and son. Virginia and Linwood labored collectively in their business enterprise in the tourism industry. Upon retirement they joined the Global Government Service Corps and assisted other business people in this industry in developing nations around the world. By means of the Global Executive Services Corps, Virginia expended quite a few several years travelling to Kenya, Zambia, Zimbabwe and Ukraine, operating on several volunteer jobs. Virginia was among the 3 finalists for the Frank Speed award from IESC for her endeavours. In return, she was happy to be ready to vacation globally and meet up with quite a few individuals she counted among the her buddies. Virginia relished paying time with her household and instilled in her children and grandchildren her adore of reading and the great importance of instruction.

A thank you as properly to the excellent PSWs and nurses who assisted her in her house right up until she went to Hospice Wellington exactly where she been given equally superb care until her passing.
