Paul Mescal’s mum is battling most cancers and planning to endure chemotherapy procedure.

The 26-year-outdated ‘Normal People’ actor’s sister Nell discovered their key school trainer mother Dearbhla’s health fight in a tweet just after Paul was nominated for a Best Actor Oscar on Tuesday (24.01.23) for his role as a stressed dad in ‘Aftersun’.

Nell tweeted hrs soon after Paul’s Academy Award nod was introduced: “My mum acquired a haircut right now in prep for her chemotherapy and then Paul received nominated for an Oscar everyday living is so ridiculous.”

Dearbhla has also explained to her social media followers she was beginning to “live with” most cancers following she was identified with many myeloma – a form of bone marrow cancer – in July 2022.

Paul is nominated along with Colin Farrell for his role in ‘The Banshees of Inisherin’, Austin Butler for enjoying Elvis, Invoice Nighy for his element in ‘Living’, and Brendan Fraser for portraying a morbidly obese instructor in ‘The Whale’.
